Hi!

Since we were talking about various assemblers, I thought you might
find this old comparison interesting (or funny):

* https://www.drdobbs.com/windows/ms-dos-assemblers-compared/184408073

I don't even know what code would be good for comparison nowadays.
There's so much legacy code (of varying quality and usefulness)!

And what assemblers would be preferred? They all have advantages
and disadvantages. (I'm biased towards free/libre but still
sympathetic to others, especially for DOS.)

Here's one (newer, but still slightly outdated) comparison:

Oh! While I've never read it, didn't I mention this one guy's
book? It covers x64 (and even a bit of AVX) using YASM. He
has a Windows version and a Linux/macOS version. It's only
about $5 USD digitally.

Here's the moderator of c.l.a.x's (very old) page:

Here's NBASM dude's page (lots of good DOS examples):

* http://www.fysnet.net/

Apparently he mirrored Chuck Crayne (former c.l.a.x moderator)'s
stuff, too:

Here's a Norton Guide (online) for TASM 2.x / MASM 6.x:

Just FYI.

Just FYI.
I'll keep it for reference. MASM 4.0 and 5.10B work for now. No time for
distractions.
